 I am sorry but I didn't return home as planned, yesterday things got altered a long story!!

I should be back at home by the following weekend, so will start posting stuff then, one per day only at the start as I will need to catch up with the net. And now it's not one week to catch up on but two. By the end of next week I should have caught up and will increase the number of posts per day. 

Sometimes things don't turn out as planned and things have to be altered. Andy is still posting and has some scheduled for while he's on holiday in August. 

My break was not planned, things happened with my in laws and got changed as things do sometimes.

3 Colours Red were a British indie rock band founded in 1995 in London and disbanded in 1999. They reformed from 2002-2005.

Box 44 is here, starting off with tracks selected by Concha, from 1 to 8, then from 9 to 16 comes tracks selected by myself (Reb) and finally Andy closes the box with his three themed tracks from 17 to 24. It's the normal mix of cross decade and cross genres, with the odd alternative mix or cover version addded. All add to the mix!!

War ft. Bobby Womack – The Other Side Of War Warms Your Heart 1974 CD Reissue 2022 320😎

I found this while cleaning in my W folder, I don't remember who gave me it, but must have been someone who know's that I love Bobby Womack. I thought I should share it. I can't find a year for this on discogs, but is dated 2022 and found a copy with the same date on the War bandcamp page. I also have a vinyl rip at 192, but is not a great recording from the vinyl a lot of surface noise.

Bestfile (updated) Updated in red for the second time

 It seems there is a problem with bestfiles today, it doesn't turn blue to download after the 15 second countdown, am sure it's only temporary and will be sorted pretty quickly. It's the same in fire fox, opera and chrome. So the links for some post aren't working, we are sorry for this and hope it returns to normal working order real soon.  

Sorry but it's out of our hands, so please don't report, none working links from bestfile, we are aware of the situation already. 

I will take a break from posting today, hopefully will be fine tomorrow. If not working tomorrow then will look at alternatives to bestfile, even if the links are temporary only active for a week via another provider. If bestfile is still like this tomorrow then, I will return on Monday to posting, have so much new music I need to catch up with listening to.

Weekend – La Varieté (1982) Cherry Red Remaster & Expanded version 2006 320😎

Weekend were a Welsh band formed by Alison Statton in 1981, following the split of Young Marble Giants. The band was a merger between two projects. Statton began writing with Spike of Z Block Records and Reptile Ranch in Cardiff, Wales in the summer of 1981, before moving to London where she teamed up with Simon Emmerson (at that time using the name Simon Booth) of Methodishca Tune. The band signed to Rough Trade Records in December 1981, but recorded only one studio album, La Variete.

La Variete was released in 1982 on the Rough Trade label and made it to no. 4 in the UK Indie Chart staying there for 15 weeks. It was revered by critics on release as a bold new departure from the prevailing post-punk ethos, and served as a major influence on Saint Etienne, the Sundays, Belle and Sebastian and many others.

According to Cherry Red, La Variete is: "A beautifully realised and delicate collection of songs set against a jazz backdrop, it switches across myriad musical settings including samba, cabaret, Afrobeat and highly personal, confessional pop."

After splitting up in 1983, members Simon Booth and Larry Stabbins formed the more jazz orientated Working Week. The other members later reunited as a duo under the name "Alison Statton and Spike", issuing the albums Tidal Blues (1994), The Shady Tree (1997) and Bimini Twist (2018).

 All invites sent out have been accepted, so if you want in you will have to wait for the next opening to gain entrance to the private part of Vibes. This will be in about 2 months time. We are close to being a third full of the 100 members allowed by google for a private site. 

The few names from the list that didn't accept the invite in time or didn't see they were invited will be added to the next list of names invited to gain access to the private Vibes.  

If you want to get onto the next list then all you have to do is continue to post comments on Vibes on a regular basis, making sure you add a name if you comment anonymously because any anonymous comment with out a name added is automatically deleted.  

As for you Marty two email address' and neither work, both bounced back my test emails, so you won't be on the next list. In fact you won't be invited at all now. You obviously have time to waste making up fictious email address'. The time I wasted messing around with your invite was ridiculous to say the least, I can't stop you visiting Vibes in the future and downloading, but your comments are no longer welcome here and will not be published in the future!!  

The names that will be added to the next list are Alain F. Bertrand, dbh and Jean. So that leaves 17 more places up for grabs.

Tokyo Tea Room - No Rush 2025😎

Tokyo Tea Room is a project that blends the intricate layers of dream pop with the heartfelt grooves of indie soul.
