The Original Man

[OM187]

(2024)

Released in 1988, 'The Original Man' is the powerful debut album from Reggae artist Andrew Tosh, son of the legendary Wailers co-founder Peter Tosh. Arriving shortly after his father's tragic passing, the album is deeply steeped in classic Roots Reggae, featuring conscious lyrics and heavy, steady grooves. It served as both a poignant tribute to his father's musical legacy and a bold statement of Andrew's own artistic identity, ultimately earning him a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album in 1989.
