    I have figured out with Crass: 1) context is everything; 2) 7'' was a good limiting substrate; 3) the 'nobodies' could be scene stealers.

      Most bands could only afford to release 7" singles, and if on the Crass label it sort of would guarantee sales for the band, people collect labels. Thanks for your comment Steve.
