Way back in '77, I was returning from Amsterdam and I met a great Dutch singing guitarist to while away the hours on the ferry back to England. A year later,he sent me a tape of Gruppo Sportivo and I was hooked! I only ever saw them play once at the '78 Reading Festival but that Dutchman became a lifelong friend and this music always reminds me of him. I didn't have this Buddy Odour so many thanks for that !!
