Twilight Circus - Fleximix Singles (2012) Flac

* The second Flac share from Twilight Circus, back with a couple more on Saturday, having Friday off. *

In 2004, Twilight Circus / Ryan Moore released eight vinyl 45 singles under the Fleximix imprint (the name a reference to his vintage Trident mixing console).

This digital release features the content of the Fleximix vinyl series (vocal & dub versions) plus several bonus mixes.
Guests: Luciano, Michael Rose (Grammy Award winner with Black Uhuru), Ranking Joe (dancehall DJ legend aka The Bionic DJ), Natural Black, Style Scott (Roots Radics – reggae drum legend).
Remixes feature the talents of leading UK Dub artists Vibronics & Russ D / Disciples.

Widely recognized as one of the most exciting and original artists working in dub today, multi- instrumentalist, producer and sound engineer Ryan Moore aka Twilight Circus has been involved with dub for the last 25 years.

Moore's take on dub is a radical application of the ideology of dub pioneers like King Tubby, Lee Perry and Augustus Pablo. His bass lines weight tons, his atmospheres are deep, and his arrangements are kaleidoscopic: he 'plays' the sound studio.

Twilight Circus - Extended Disco Mixes (2013) Flac

* The first of two Flac posts by Twilight Circus, the second one will be posted within the hour*

Inspired by figures such as 70's New York dance remix legend Tom Moulton and Jamaica's innovators such as King Tubby, this release features extended mixes of Twilight Circus productions, either extensively reworked for the dancefloor as per Moulton's method or in the Jamaican 'disco mix' style - with the dub and vocal mix edited together.

If it were 1977, these would have been the heady mixes appearing on hot 12 inch wax, troubling the dancefloor from the clubs of NYC like Studio 54 all the way to the outdoor sound system sessions of the West Kingston ghettos.

Featuring reggae music legends like Michael Rose (Black Uhuru), Admiral Tibet, Mikey General, Fred Locks, Sugar Minott, Dean Fraser, Vin Gordon (Bob Marley) and Sly Dunbar, these extended mixes are previously unreleased and are appearing now for the first time as a digital-only album.

Sam Phillips - 1994 - Martinis & Bikinis

Sam Phillips - 1994 - Martinis & Bikinis @320

With Martinis and Bikinis, Sam Phillips' music turns decidedly Beatlesque: edgier and more psychedelic than her previous work, songs like "Strawberry Road" and "Same Rain" springboard from John Lennon-inspired origins, while "Same Changes" brazenly borrows from "If I Needed Someone" -- Van Dyke Parks' string arrangement for the stunning "Baby, I Can't Please You" even recalls "Tomorrow Never Knows." (To punctuate matters, the album closes with a cover of Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth.") The difference between Phillips and the vast majority of her pop-revisionist contemporaries, however, is that she never coasts on the fumes of her influences, but turns them on their head and gives them new life -- regardless of the approach, her impassioned, spiritually charged songs remain the product of a singular vision. UK's Manasseh rings the alarm with his remix of No Burial featuring Michael Rose – the original Twilight Circus – produced version is considered by many reggae cognoscenti to be one of Rose's best tracks ever. New Order – Ultra Rare Trax (1995) American Unofficial Release @320

 * Going through the heavyweights we get this collection of DJ Remix service exclusives. The rare and standout track is the Omar Santana electro induced take on “Confusion”, lots of overdubs, breaks and different arrangements. An interesting alternative in the spirit of the original. “True Faith (Future Mix)” manages to mix in Yello in there and the “Altermixxe” of “Bizarre Love Triangle” sounds a bit light and ploddy. Another highlight is the Biff & Memphis chilled remix of “Touched By The Hand Of God” which builds up nicely to a Rave tempo. A hightlight!. It finishes with the B-side of ’86’s “Shellshock”, “Shellcock” mixed with John Robie *

Question ? Flac or 320 ? Or Both ? (Updated in Red 28.7.25)

Well I have been sharing Flac on Vibes and people seem to like take the Flac files, as many as take the 320 files. Maybe just to convert to 320 anyway ?

So here is the question do you wnat me to continue posting Flac and 320 files, or would you rather I just convert the Flac to 320 and post only 320 ?

To be honest it makes no odds to me whether I post albums in Flac or 320, 320 uploading is much qicker.

Would you stop visiting Vibes if we only posted albums in 320 ?

You would like me to continue sharing both Flac and 320 ?

Please take the time to add a reply in the comments, only take a few seconds!

I value your input !! So please add a  comment in the box below.

Well thanks to the people, who took the time to post a reply, is a mixed set of replies. So for the time being I will continue to share both Flac and 320, if a post is in Flac and you only want 320, then you can convert it yourself to 320. If I have Flac will post it and if I only have 320 then will share that. Will keep an eye on it till the end of September and then make a final decision then. So for now I will just carry on as I have been. But I still will not re up any of my Flac posts, you have three months to download the files, which is long enough. I will always re up a 320 post.  If you would like to add your comments, then please feel free, just drop it in the space under this post!!
